Day 4 – Certainty & Bum Marketing

The bug called Samith realised something today – it’s hard to feel certain without certainty. And there are usually only two ways to be feel certain. 1) waiting for all the ducks to line up. It must be a bug thing because bugs and ducks usually don’t mix well. 2) To decide to feel certain. He realised that since certainty is only a feeling then one can decide to feel certain at any time, indeed any bug can decide to be certain in an instant. Bugs are small, fragile creatures but the things they can do when are certain of themselves and the outcomes they want!

Bum marketing is simply article marketing. The ‘Bum’ in bum marketing refers not to being slothful and lazy (to the contrary) but to the premise that it’s a marketing tactic that supposedly you could do if you were a bum and had absolutely no money to your name but an over whelming drinking problem.

1) Choose a product to promote via Clickbank.com – free

2) Get accepted by an article directory such as ezinearticles.com. – free

3) Write articles with links that take readers to the product you want to promote – free

4) Rinse and repeat lots

5) Collect cash to keep up crack habit.

So overall it’s a very cost effective tactic but it’s time intensive. Samith was confused because there seemed to be conflicting information about whether to inundate the directories with content or to span it out.

Today he also tried connecting with more WA bugs in the Challenge forum. Isn’t it interesting that in an industry like internet marketing it still comes down to the bugs you meet. A few bugs have entered this Challenge a few times. Yes some still confess to not having made any money? Why? Can one still do this for ages and not be successful? Isn’t it a step by step process? Could it be that it has much more to do with the bug than to what they learn??

Overall Samith the bug decided today to be a certain bug. A certain bug is a happier bug.
